Translated from German to mean Pepper Nut Bread, this flavor combination is unusual, but deliciously rich, warm, and spicy. It is our version of a loaf inspired by the festive cookie by the same name. The smooth closed-crumb bread is composed of 30% rye and spiced with the flavors of anise, black pepper, and allspice. To top it off, the loaf is studded throughout with toothsome English walnuts.
