American Harvest

Celebrate native North American food crops!  This loaf starts out as a simple 10% whole grain light bread base, but when it takes on inclusions that feature food crops that are native to our beautiful North American home, it becomes something remarkable.  This bread highlights lightly sweetened dried cranberries, toothsome cooked wild rice, and organic raw sunflower seeds.  The combination of flavors ushers in a sense of place that will make you proud of this blessed region of the globe.

Ingredients:  Organic sifted wheat flour, organic dried cranberries (cranberries, sugar, sunflower oil), wild rice (cultivated paddy rice*), sourdough culture, organic sunflower seeds, organic whole wheat flour, organic rye flour, sea salt, organic malted barley flour

*(NOTE: The wild rice used in this bread is cultivated paddy rice. True wild rice is different and is hand harvested in wild ecosystems and parched. In general, all our ingredients are organic, but the paddy rice in this bread is not organic)

*all breads contain some rice flour on the crust from dusting boards and baskets, and possibly olive oil from brushing dough boxes.
